The Pirate Youth Athletic Association is a non-profit organization that provides youth athletics from grades 3-8. Our organizations support the Cochrane Fountain City community located in Fountain City, WI. The sports our program offers include football, girls and boys basketball and volleyball. The PYAA provides youth with the opportunity to get exercise and start learning the fundamentals of various sports. Our PYAA Board and coaches are all volunteers from the community. We do charge a registration fee for sports which helps with covering insurance fees, hiring referees, hosting youth athletic events, etc. We also ask that parents/guardians help with volunteering some of their time to help out at home tournaments we host for the league.
In August the PYAA usually has registration and starts practices for the 4th-6th grade PYAA Football team who participates in the Morrie Miller League. Recently the PYAA was informed that the Morrie Miller league will not be happening this year due to the concerns with the COVID-19. At this time we are unsure of what we will be able to offer in terms of football for this season. When we determine a plan and know more about the school district's reopening plan, and high school and middle school sports we will let you know. We appreciate your continued support and flexibility.
